Step by Step

How to order

1. Contact a transcription agency directly, not the court.
2. Give the agency the case name and number, the hearing date and time, the judge, and the ordering attorney and the party they represent.
3. Make payment arrangements with the agency; delivery time starts once the order is received and payment is arranged.

Rates, audio, and deadlines

Transcript fees follow the Judicial Conference maximum rates effective October 1, 2024: $4.40 per page for 30 day delivery, $5.10 for 14 day, $5.85 for 7 day, $6.55 for 3 day, $7.30 for next day, and $8.70 for 2 hour, with lower rates for copies.

Once a transcript is filed, it is available only for viewing at the clerk’s office for 90 days, and parties who attended the hearing are responsible for asking for any redaction of personal identifiers during that time.

Audio files posted on PACER are not the official record and cannot be used to create official transcripts.
