How to order a transcript for an Oregon Court of Appeals or Supreme Court case, based on the Oregon Judicial Department’s published procedures.
Step by Step
Good to Know
A fee waiver does not cover the cost of the transcript.
In indigent criminal, post-conviction, habeas, civil commitment, and juvenile cases, the Oregon Public Defense Commission pays the transcriber with prior authorization, at its approved rate of $4.25 per page.
Parties have 15 days after the transcript is filed to move to correct it.
For a transcript outside an appeal, request the audio from the circuit court that held the hearing and take it to a transcriber. Each circuit court sets its own audio request process and fee.
